Christmas Come and Gone!!

The Boys on Christmas Day!
Lincoln's new hunting shirt and helicopter

Kyson's first gift of Christmas

Boy I can't believe that Christmas has come and gone already. Life has been so crazy that we never even got all the Christmas decorations up. We did put up the tree and decorated that and Trevor did put the lights up outside. So we did have a little bit of Christmas. I didn't get much baking in. The only thing I made was biscotti for our neighbors and friends. But we didn't lack in holiday sweets. Our Holiday was wonderful. We enjoyed Christmas eve with my family at my mom's house. We ate ham and turkey and opened a ton of presents. Kyson had a wonderful first Christmas and enjoyed eating the paper more than opening the presents. Christmas morning Trevor's parents came over and the boys opened their presents from Santa. Then we headed over to my sister's house and had creamed eggs (family tradition that we only get on Christmas). We had a wonderful time just hanging out. After that we returned home and just relaxed. Trevor had a 4 day weekend and we enjoyed having him around and hanging out with our little family. Our favorite gifts this year are: Trevor- new choke for his gun...in his words he blew a clay pigeon to dust (you should have seen how excited he was/ Jill- my Mommy necklace from my husband and my new pots and pans...oh they are fabulous/ Lincoln- new hunting shirt (so he can go hunting with daddy he says) and his Megatron Transformer/ Kyson- really enjoyed watching his brother play with his new ball popper. We were very blessed and are very thankful for all our wonderful gifts. I now have two more weeks off and I am planning on getting somethings done around the house and enjoying my boys. It is so nice to have a restful vacation. I head back to school on the 11th and I am sure by then I will be ready. But as for now...not getting out of your jammies unitl after 12 is very nice.

Lincoln Turns 3!

We went to Marine World a few weeks before Lincoln's Birthday. We had a wonderful time. We had such a great time that we bought season tickets for the rest of this year and next year as well. It was a great deal and we just couldn't pass it up. Lincoln loved all the rides and the animal shows.

Happy 3rd Birthday my son!

Lincoln got a big boy bike from his aunties and uncles. He had a difficult time at first realizing that the pedals needed to go forward. But he really has the hang of it now and loves riding his bike around the neighborhood to see all his friends.

Just thought I would include a picture of our sweet Kyson. He is getting big so fast and it had been awhile since I posted a picture of him. He turned 5 months today.
Well our first son has turned three! I can't tell you where the time has gone. It seems like all the sudden he has become such a big boy. He can carry on wonderful conversations with you and knows so many things. He has a great memory and doesn't let you forget when you have told him that he can do something. He is such a great big brother and helper to his mommy and daddy. We love the spunky personality that he has and the fact that he really doesn't meet a stranger. He loves to sing and dance and Daddy even made sure that he got a drum set for his birthday. We have been so blessed with an amazing little boy and we can't wait to watch him continue to grow.
We love you Lincoln Amzi Mansfield!

First Soccer Game!

Lincoln had his first soccer game tonight. He was so cute and so excited. He is playing with he two friends that live across the street. All of the boys did a great job and had so much fun running up and down the court. They play inside the gym and only play half court. It was so cute to watch him. He was really concentrating and listening to his coach to hear what he was teaching them. I can't believe we are starting sports already. I love it though and I know from here on out it's no slowing down!!

Camping and Stitches

Well it has been an eventful couple of weeks for us.

Two weekends ago we went camping with some friends of ours, Shane and Erika. Besides having to drive around for awhile to find a site (everywhere we went was full), we had a wonderful time with them. We had no running water so need less to say we were all very dirty and throughly enjoyed our showers when we got home.

Then on Sunday my friend Christy and her husband and son came up for a quick visit from San Diego. I haven't seen Christy since Lincoln was like 3 months old. She has a little boy named Ethan who is 6 months and just adorable. I loved being able to visit with them, although it was much too short.

Then Lincoln headed out on Wednesday with my parents to go camping. Our whole family headed up to Yosemite for the weekend and my parents went a day early and took Lincoln with them. He had a wonderful time. As we were packing up on Thurs to go we got a call from the pay phone up there (no cell service) that Lincoln had fallen in the trailer and bumped his head and they thought he needed stitches. The clincher here is that my dad had left to go fishing (and again no cell service) so there was no way to get Lincoln anywhere at the moment. So we decided that we would meet them at the ER in Sonora and they would leave as soon as my dad got back. It ended not being too bad. They were only about 10 min behind us. We got Lincoln in and he needed about 5 stitches. The boy didn't skip a beat though. He was the highlight of the ER giving everyone high 5's with the blown up glove that he had. He did freak out majorly though when the doctor was stitching him. He wasn't all the way numb the first time they tried and so he freaked and then was looking out the side of eye and saw the scissors and they freaked him out even more. Poor baby! But after that he was as good as new and never skipped a beat. Running, jumping, climbing (with everyone else on edge of course). On Friday we headed into Yosemite. It was beautiful and HOT-101 in the mountains man that is hot. Sat the boys went fishing and the rest of us stayed home and went swimming at the pool where we were staying and rested. We all had a wonderful time. Now we are home and back to reality. Only two more weeks till school starts and a lot of work to do before then. Wow how the summer flies by.

SUMMER FUN!

It's been a busy summer so far for the Mansfield Clan. And it doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon. We have something on the calendar every weekend from now until I go back to school in August. Oh well... have fun... and make good family memories. I posted just a few pics to show what's been going on with us. Kyson's 1st Fourth of July.

Enjoying the valley summer nights!

Oh, so peaceful.

Uncle Brad took Lincoln to ride on some tractors. He had so much fun!

Lincoln decided that Daddy doesn't do his hair correctly and so decided to do it on his own. He use a 1/4 of a bottle of new gel. Nice 'do buddy.

Kyson is 1 Month

Well my baby is now 1 month old. I can't believe how time flies. He is doing so great. He eats well, he sleeps well, and he is gaining weight and looking more like he has a little meat on his bones. We are all enjoying being home for the summer. Lincoln just finished swim lessons. He loved it and has no fear of the water. Which is scary sometimes. The life guards had a great time with him making sure he didn't take off into the deep end of the pool. Now that lessons are over though I am going to have to make sure I take him a few times because he loves it so much. Next week is my 10 year high school reunion. WOW TALK ABOUT TIME FLYING! I can't believe it's been 10 years already. I have been helping to organize the reunion so it will be nice when that is over. Once that is over we don't have too much the rest of the summer. We are going to go camping in July and a few other things. Before I know it...it will be time to head back to work. Well how about I just enjoy my time now and not think about that.

Lincoln-isms and New Pics

Well Kyson is now 2 weeks old and we are all doing very well. Trevor went back to work this week so I was home with both the boys. It's not too bad when one of them sleeps all day long (Kyson). I'm sure it will get busier as Kyson is up more and doing more. We had Kyson's doctor's apointment this week. He is now 6 1/2 lbs and 20 in tall. He is growing well. He is a great baby and we feel so blessed to have him. Lincoln is a great big brother and he loves his little brother so much. One of my concerns when I thought about having a 2nd child is that I didn't want it to change my Lincoln in anyway. He has such a wonderful personality that I didn't want that to get lost with having a new baby. He is doing great. He is just as cheerful and funny as ever. Just to show you I have to tell you a little story.

We were on our way to my sister's graduation party (Manda graduated from CSUS this week-go Manda!) and Trevor was telling Lincoln to say something the Uncle Nic. Trevor was having him ask Nic "Do you want a knuckle sandwich punk?". When we got to the house and Lincoln went to ask Nic what Daddy had told him to he said, " YOU WANT A KNUCKLE SANDWICH..... GO TO THE STORE!" What a crazy kid. He gets us laughing every day.

Uncle Nic also took some new photos of Kyson, that I posted above. Well I hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying their summer (even with the weird weather).

Kyson Harvey Has Arrived!!

Ou Precious Little Bundle of Joy!!
KYSON HARVEY MANSFIELD
Mommy, Daddy and Kyson
Big Brother Lincoln and Kyson

Well our little bundle of joy has arrived! He came into the world on May 22, 2009 at 6:19 am(Nothing like having your last day of school on 5/21 and delivery a baby less than 24 hrs. later). He is our little peanut weighing in at 5lbs. 15oz. and 181/2 in. tall. Mommy and baby are both doing very well. The delivery was 100 times better than the last one and I am feeling great. I never quite understood how people could leave the hospital the day after giving birth, but now I know. Lincoln is so in love with his baby brother and is quickly learning how to be a great helper.

Could be Sooner than Later!

Well we went to the doctor on Tuesday and I have already begun dialating. We discussed timing on when Kyson will be joining us here in the world outside of mommy's tummy (I am really getting ready). Dr. B said that on the 21st of May he will do some things to help try to induce natural labor. And if that doesn't work then we can induce the last week of May. WOW!!! It could be as little as 2 weeks away. Man how time flies. We are excited and a little overwhelmed to know shortly we will be taking care of two. Keep us all in your prayers as we prepare for the next adventure in our lives.

What a fabulous job by my husband.
A Big thanks to our families for all their help

We redid the front yard too.
Morrison Homes had really skimped on our landscaping in the front.

All the pregnant ladies at work. Melissa, Becky, Tara, myself, and Crista.

Opening gifts at the shower. I feel blessed to work with such wonderful people.
-------------------
Well as you can see from the photos above we have had a busy last couple of weeks. We have been really working on finishing the yards. My husband has been hard at work after work, but the fruits of his labor are fabulous. WE now have a wonderful backyard with grass, a beautiful planter area, and a great sandbox and play area for Lincoln (and Kyson too someday). My friend Kim and I finished Kyson's mural over Spring vacation. It looks absolutely fabulous in his room. I have had two showers this last week and have been blessed with wonderful gifts and fun times. For the shower at my house we played Bunco. I had so much fun and it seemed like everyone else was having a great time too. I feel truly blessed to be able to welcome our little baby into the world with all these wonderful friends and family members to love and support our family. Well this pregnancy sure has gone fast and we are anxiously awaiting meeting our new son. ONLY 5 WEEKS TO GO! Wow time sure does fly.

Beautiful Wedding!!

Handsom Young Man!!
My Beautiful Sister, Kaylee!

Well my sister, Kaylee, was married on Saturday! It was a beautiful day and a wonderful ceremony. It was wonderful to see my sister so happy and in love. She married a wonderful guy, Eric. We are very happy to welcome him into our family. Lincoln was a ring bearer. He was so handsome and did a great job. He had a few funny moments, but he is just two. I also celebrated my birthday on Friday. It was low key as we were getting everything together for Kaylee's wedding, but none the less it was still wonderful. I got a sewing maching. I was super excited about this. Now I have to learn how to use it. Trevor also surprised me with a new ipod. It was a fun surprise. We are all very tired with all of the festivities that went on this weekend. But we had a lot of fun and really enjoyed being away for a few days.
Now back to reality!!
