Camping and Stitches

Well it has been an eventful couple of weeks for us.

Two weekends ago we went camping with some friends of ours, Shane and Erika. Besides having to drive around for awhile to find a site (everywhere we went was full), we had a wonderful time with them. We had no running water so need less to say we were all very dirty and throughly enjoyed our showers when we got home.

Then on Sunday my friend Christy and her husband and son came up for a quick visit from San Diego. I haven't seen Christy since Lincoln was like 3 months old. She has a little boy named Ethan who is 6 months and just adorable. I loved being able to visit with them, although it was much too short.

Then Lincoln headed out on Wednesday with my parents to go camping. Our whole family headed up to Yosemite for the weekend and my parents went a day early and took Lincoln with them. He had a wonderful time. As we were packing up on Thurs to go we got a call from the pay phone up there (no cell service) that Lincoln had fallen in the trailer and bumped his head and they thought he needed stitches. The clincher here is that my dad had left to go fishing (and again no cell service) so there was no way to get Lincoln anywhere at the moment. So we decided that we would meet them at the ER in Sonora and they would leave as soon as my dad got back. It ended not being too bad. They were only about 10 min behind us. We got Lincoln in and he needed about 5 stitches. The boy didn't skip a beat though. He was the highlight of the ER giving everyone high 5's with the blown up glove that he had. He did freak out majorly though when the doctor was stitching him. He wasn't all the way numb the first time they tried and so he freaked and then was looking out the side of eye and saw the scissors and they freaked him out even more. Poor baby! But after that he was as good as new and never skipped a beat. Running, jumping, climbing (with everyone else on edge of course). On Friday we headed into Yosemite. It was beautiful and HOT-101 in the mountains man that is hot. Sat the boys went fishing and the rest of us stayed home and went swimming at the pool where we were staying and rested. We all had a wonderful time. Now we are home and back to reality. Only two more weeks till school starts and a lot of work to do before then. Wow how the summer flies by.

SUMMER FUN!

It's been a busy summer so far for the Mansfield Clan. And it doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon. We have something on the calendar every weekend from now until I go back to school in August. Oh well... have fun... and make good family memories. I posted just a few pics to show what's been going on with us. Kyson's 1st Fourth of July.

Enjoying the valley summer nights!

Oh, so peaceful.

Uncle Brad took Lincoln to ride on some tractors. He had so much fun!

Lincoln decided that Daddy doesn't do his hair correctly and so decided to do it on his own. He use a 1/4 of a bottle of new gel. Nice 'do buddy.
